Beverly Hills — Dubai

In my experience, the most common reasons why a patient avoids visiting the dentist are fear and anxiety. These are often the cause of many overlooked dental issues, which I can help to address at my Beverly Hills office. Through the use of sedation dentistry, men and women can undergo multiple dental procedures in just one visit while feeling at ease.

What is sedation dentistry you ask? Many often mistake this with “sleep dentistry” when, in fact, they are different. Usually, sleep dentistry requires the assistance of a trained anesthesiologist to administer general anesthesia intravenously (IV). The patient would be completely unconscious and require a longer stay at the facility until the trained professional determines that he or she is ready to leave. However, with sedation dentistry, you will simply feel relaxed throughout the entire process. This will allow you to be responsive to any given cues or requests made during your treatment.

Other common reasons an individual may choose to undergo sedation dentistry, aside from fear and anxiety, are bad gag reflexes, very sensitive teeth, and difficulty getting numb. At my practice, you may choose from the available options for sedation: an oral sedative (pill) or nitrous oxide (laughing gas). If you choose the oral sedative, you must be sure to take it at least one hour prior to your scheduled appointment. Also, it will be necessary to have someone else drive you to and from the office as you will be drowsy and unable to drive. On the other hand, nitrous oxide will be administered once you arrive at our office. This method would require the assistance of another person to drive you to and from your appointment as well.

One of the advantages of sedation dentistry is that you are able to have most of, or all of, your dental treatments completed in just one visit. Rather than taking time out of your busy schedule on multiple occasions, you can have your routine cleaning, fillings, dental implants, and chipped tooth repaired in one sitting. My staff and I understand that your time is valuable, which is why sedation dentistry may be the excellent choice if you are unable to make multiple visits.

I can create a personalized treatment plan and recommend the best options to meet your needs. If you would like to achieve the dazzling smile you desire without feeling stressed or having to make so many visits to the dentist, then I invite you to call my office and ask about sedation dentistry.
