Dr. Sands & Social Media - Perfect Pair

In recent years, new forms of social media have emerged and are helping several businesses flourish. To keep up with the times, I have actively partaken in many of today’s popular sites, including Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter. I find that they are great ways to interact with my patients and provide information to others. It often helps to ease those who are wary when they arrive at my office for their consultation.

These media gateways have allowed me to share information on a more casual level, which is not something that is commonly seen amongst others in my field. It is especially beneficial for those who have anxiety or fears when they visit the dentist. By having more contact with my patients, they feel more at ease when they come in for a consultation. It also shows them that I’m not just a “Dentist to the Stars.” I welcome all patients to my Beverly Hills practice, no matter what their dental needs may be. As a “Smile Sculptor,” I make it my goal to help each patient reach his/her desired goal.

Since a vast majority of my patients, both old and new, use Facebook on a daily basis, I am able to better interact with them. Some of the features that prospective patients can benefit from are the before and after photos. I also provide tips on teeth whitening and other featured articles, which makes it convenient for the individual. My goal is to be more accessible to those who are in need of dental treatments.

Another great outlet is YouTube, where I have videos of past patients who tell you about their experience. It is also a great way for prospective patients to hear about certain procedures firsthand before scheduling a visit. It offers them a chance to get to know me a little more and become at ease during a consultation.

One of my latest ventures with social media is my cosmetic dentistry blog, where I have shared information regarding a wide range of cosmetic dentistry procedures, such as porcelain veneers, teeth whitening, dental implants, and Invisalign ® braces. On my blog, you can learn about the treatments a more relaxed setting. I find that patients who read my blog and keep up with the other forms of social media are better prepared when visiting my practice.
